Support for Fire Victims

Aug 26, 2015

Community Action serves families in need every day across Washington State.  Our network of 30 non-profit organizations provide help to every community, in every county, with basic and emergency needs such as housing, employment, food, energy, and more.

During this time, our agency staff are on the ground, helping families impacted by the massive wildfires across Washington State with emergency food, clothing, shelter, and other basic needs.

If you would like to help assist those impacted by wildfires, please consider making a cash donation to the local Community Action organization.  Cash is efficient, flexible, and can be used immediately to buy exactly what is needed to assist with disaster relief. Cash donations also enable wildfire survivors to purchase needed items from area businesses, which helps local economies negatively impacted by the fires.

Community Action organizations in the most fire-impacted areas are assisting with recovery directly to those affected by the fires and are accepting donations:

Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council (Serving Chelan and Douglas counties)
Okanogan County Community Action Council (serving Okanogan County)
Rural Resources Community Action (serving Ferry, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, and Stevens counties)
Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners (SNAP) (serving Spokane County)
Washington-Gorge Action Programs (serving Klickitat and Skamania counties)
